Eliza is the gentle shadow of MoonLight Ragdolls — a seal bicolor queen who pads quietly from room to room behind whoever is home, settling within arm's reach and asking for nothing but company. She is the most dog-like cat we have ever raised: she comes when called, waits by the door at the usual homecoming hour, and has been known to fetch a crumpled paper ball when the mood strikes. As a mother she is wonderfully easy — calm deliveries, relaxed nursing, and a quiet confidence that her kittens absorb from their first days. Eliza babies tend to be the mellow ones in any litter: unbothered by noise, patient with children, happy to be carried like a stuffed animal, which is exactly the floppy, trusting temperament Ragdolls are named for. DNA-tested and HCM and PKD1 clear, she raises every litter underfoot in our cage-free Queens, NY home.
